Day 07 – Your best friend
When my mother was alive, she was my best friend, but now I’d have to say my husband, Curtis. We seem to spend more time together than apart, and things seem to go smoother both personally and professionally when we work together.
When I lived in Oklahoma City, Denver and we lived in Ft. Worth I had many acquaintances, some who came and went through my life so fast that I’m convinced they were only there to influence my path. Others who seemed to genuinely care about me only to find they were there to suck the life out of mine.
I used to feel guilty that I lost touch with so many when I would move, but it soon became apparent that it was often a case of out of sight out of mind. Out of all the people we have met in all the places we’ve lived and traveled there are a few who have stuck like burrs, and I am thankful everyday for the continued friendship.
